All are welcome

We Are Inclusive. We Stand Together.

We stand with all oppressed minorities and will continue to work diligently to abolish systemic racism and wholly embrace equity, diversity and inclusivity.

We are a multi-disciplinary team that celebrates each member’s unique set of knowledge, expertise and perspective and are a stronger network because of these individual differences.

We are proud role models of inclusivity and will continue to uphold these principles.

iSMART is located at the University of Alberta. Our buildings, labs, and research stations are primarily located on the traditional territory of Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, and Ojibway / Saulteaux / Anishinaabe Nations; lands that are now known as part of Treaties 6, 7, and 8 and homeland of the Métis.

We respect the sovereignty, lands, histories, languages, knowledge systems, and cultures of First Nations, Métis and Inuit nations.
